Top Dog Raw is a collection of hardcore gay videos and you'll uncover a lot of different scenarios, at least judging by the preview pictures on the tour pages of this site. What you won't know, at least not until you get inside and start watching these films, is that the men are all French. For some, this will up the heat factor.
The nice thing about TopDogRaw is that the content is 100 percent exclusive and there aren't any download limits. However, it is more like a library of video and photo downloads than an actual site where you might spend time. In fact, there is really very little to do around the members' area once you've gotten off. There is a model index, for example, but there aren't model bios and there isn't any interaction with them, either. However, there are live cams and a site called JizzVault delivers on some straight and shemale content if you're into it. There is gay content from this provider, but it turns out to be a list of all the content that you get from Top Dog Raw and the network of Epic Male sites.
Epic Male offers a large collection and aside from the TopDogRaw site, you can instant access to a half dozen other gay sex and hardcore sites like MagnusMuscle, HammerVIP, ManSolos and GayBlackBangers. There are over 400 movies available from the network, but not a whole lot of French guys, I'm afraid.
So far, TopDogRaw delivers 16 scenes. The site was launched in August 2012 and basically, there have been two episodes uploaded since that moment. This doesn't strike me as the best way to start out with a site. I can understand a site coming out strong with frequent updates, but I suppose the producers of this one figure that you have plenty of action from the bonuses to keep you going until the next updates. I'd say that you can expect two new movies a month, at least for now.
The quality ends up being pretty decent, so this is good news. Navigation will need some work once there is a larger collection, but so far things are listed by date from newest to oldest, there is a list of categories and there is a model index. While the other network sites generally provide pictures, TopDogRaw only provides videos.
In-browser streams are quick to load and look nice, although they aren't the top quality. There are WMV and MP4 downloads, both similar to the medium-quality streams (896kbps, 640x360). However, there is also a high-quality (2000kbps, 1280x720) MOV file. These are a bit slow to download, but provide a nice large viewing screen and clean image. Of course, for a newly launched site the stats are a little out of whack with the video standards that most new sites are providing. This is likely to hurt the site a bit.
The content is dark and you get a real back-alley feel to the action. In fact, some of the most recent films do look like they are shot in back alleys. There are also a couple of glory hole scenes here and this usually ends up with hardcore fucking action. There isn't anything particularly out of the ordinary, except for the whole raw cock sucking and fucking going on in some exciting outdoor locations and with a darker and dirtier feel than some other sites I've seen recently. Also, the guys are generally hot, which is appealing. It's just too bad there aren't more of them.
Final Verdict
I think that at the current moment, the price of admission into the world of TopDogRaw is a bit high for what is being offered. The site does seem to be updating, but it is doing this at a slower rate that most would prefer. I like the dirty, raw style of the scenes, but there aren't photos and the video quality being offered should be much better. The films are clear, but just not on par with the video standards most sites are delivering in 2012. Combined with an exceptionally limited amount of content, I'd probably hold back on being a member of this site until it grows a bit.
